Drvex

A new website for Drvex from Trn near Laktaši, which has sold board materials and fittings since 1991. On the homepage a kitchen assembles as you scroll, the 3D visualiser shows the fronts in decors from the range, and the cut list arrives online, already calculated.

From board to the finished kitchen.

Drvex sells materials, but the customer doesn't picture a board, they picture a kitchen. So the website works in reverse: first it shows the finished space, then explains what it's made of and how you get there, through cutting, edge banding and assembly at the plant in Trn.

The homepage offers three paths: board materials and fittings, a hobby range for those who have an idea but no workshop, and fit-outs for business premises, offices and restaurants. Tradespeople, homeowners and investors each see their way in straight away.

Choose the decor before cutting.

In the 3D visualiser, the customer picks the decor for the fronts, carcass and worktop and instantly sees how they look together on the kitchen, before anything is cut. Thirteen Kronospan decors carry the codes from the range, so what the customer picks on screen has the same name in the warehouse.

Cut list that does the maths.

Measurements are sent online or in an Excel template: dimensions, quantities and edge banding for each piece. The online cut list calculates the number of pieces, board area and metres of edging live, so the plant receives an order ready for cutting, not a sheet of paper to copy out.
